A National Association (NA) is a legally registered, well-structured, democratic organization that represents the ITF in a country. There is only one NA in each country, although an NA may include regional associations. Each NA sends one delegate to the Continental Federation and to the ITF Congress Meeting.

The Board of Directors of ITF may recognize a group of persons and/or an association as an Allied National Association (AA) in addition to the National Association in a country. An AA, like an NA, must practice Taekwon-Do as taught by General Choi and act in accordance with the ITF Constitution, By-Laws, policies, standards, and regulations.
