Appointment of Four New Members of the ITF Communications Committee

The ITF are proud to announce the appointment of four new members of the ITF Communications Committee. The Chairman of the Committee Master McPhail, has chosen four new members from different parts of the world, all with special skills and attributes. All four are very enthusiastic and are looking forward to take on their new role.

Our new Committee Members

  • Master Scott Downey
    VII dan, Canada

Master Downey comments that the Communications Committee is the “heart” of the ITF since it is this committee that ultimately shows the world “who” and “what” we are, and gives our membership a sense of “community”. He would be honored to be a member of such an important and essential committee, and looks forward to the challenge of maximizing the effectiveness of this committee.

Master Downey is a Child and Adolescent Psychologist (20 years) at the Janeway Child Health Center in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, specializing in the areas of ADHD and Learning Disabilities.

  • Mr Philip Lear
    VI dan, England

I feel that Mr Lear can help in the communications committee as he is in contact with many of our ITF instructors across the globe, and also being placed in the UK and within Europe he is in an ideal position to motivate instructors and heads of associations to write articles for the ITF website. He is dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate about Taekwon-Do.

  • Prof. Ezequiel Rodriguez
    V dan, Argentina

Prof. Rodriguez is a well known, respected and enthusiastic member of the ITF. As well as a Taekwon-Do Instructor, Prof. Rodriguez is a physical education teacher and has a degree in Physical Activity and Health.

  • Mr Ryan Walker
    II dan, Barbados

Mr Walker is a young and enthusiastic Instructor and leader in his part of the world. I believe his experience and qualifications will be assets to the Communications Committee. He is a qualified Electrical Engineer as well as a Science and Physical Education Teacher.
