1st ITF Seminar in Iran since 25 years!
About 25 years ago Iran Teakwondo Federation has replaced WTF for ITF very fast. This caused ITF to be forbidden legally and technically.
In 1999 Iran Taekwon-Do Union has founded. The most important purpose of this union was (and is) developing ITF and rebuilding it throughout Iran.
The result of these efforts was presented in the First Instructional Seminar of ITF, which was conducted by the president of ITF "Master Tran Trieu Quan" after 25 years. One of the most notable points of this seminar was participating of many old and experienced coaches of WTF many of whom had world titles and places in WTF.
This seminar directed in 3 days from 16th July to 18th July 2004, two times a day. The location of seminar was Sanate Ab va Bargh University in East of Tehran. The number of participants in this seminar was 70 individuals. In this seminar techniques of ITF according to updated system were instructed theoretically and practically. For example theory of free sparring developed by Master Tran Trieu Quan and some other techniques like blockings with hands, dodging, self-defense and moving techniques. Additionally to the techniques which were instructed and performed by Mater Tran and his son Mr. Nicolas Tran, the history and philosophy of Taekwon-Do as a "Martial Art" not only a field of sport and as "A Way of Life" has also instructed.
At the end of the seminar first Master Tran Trieu Quan has explained about the position of Iran ITF and its ability to develop ITF throughout Middle East and also explained about the position of participants of this seminar. Then he appreciated the efforts of Mr. Hamid Mohtashami, vice president of Iran Taekwon-Do Union for helding this seminar. At last all participants have received their certifications of participation from the president of International Taekwon-Do Federation Master Tran Trieu Quan.
