Master Alberto Katz

Master Trân Triêu Quân, President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Master Alberto Katz as Chair of the ITF Tournament and Umpire Committee.

Master Trân said:
"The Board of Director has appointed Master Katz, a senior member of ITF, and experienced Competition and Tournament umpire to chair the committee, upon the resignation of Master Willem Jacob Bos, who cumulated the positions of Chair of that committee and Treasurer of ITF for the past four years. Master Katz can count on the support of ITF members and Board of Directors. Master Katz’ qualities will soon be of great value to competitors, with the organization and conducting, for the first time jointly held, the ITF World Junior and Senior Championships. I wish to express all ITF competitors and ITF members our warmest thanks to Master Bos for his leadership, dedication and generous contribution to the increased quality of ITF competitions and tournaments over the last four years."

Master Katz wrote:
"It is an honor for me to be in charge of such an important Committee. I understand that there is a lot to do and to implement both in the short and in the long run. I firmly believe that competition elevates the overall level of ITF Taekwon-Do and helps keep it alive and vibrant. Let that be the mission of this committee".

"It is a special honor to succeed Master Willem Jacob Bos, ITF Treasurer, who has done an incredible job as the former Chair of the committee, and who is well admired by many of us".

The next ITF World Junior and Senior Championships will be held simultaneously in Quebec City, Canada from May 31st thru June 2nd, 2007 (see www.itfwcquebec2007.com).

The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) was established over 40 years ago by late General Choi Hong Hi, Founder of Taekwon-Do. It truly is the original international federation of Taekwon-Do.
