Seminar conducted by Master Pierre Laquerre in Nova Scotia
Hiltz Taekwon-Do hosted two days of seminars which included 100 students in total on November 10-11th in Sackville Nova Scotia. The seminars was conducted by 8th Degree Black Belt and CTFI Technical Director Master Pierre Laquerre from Trios-Rivières Quebec.
Mr. David Hiltz, 6th Dan, and Mrs. Jacqui Hiltz, 2nd Dan, who are students of Master Laquerre also had the pleasure to train with him at his new Dojang in Trios-Rivières Quebec for the entire week prior to the seminars.
The pattern seminars on Saturday were divided into two parts. The first 3 hours were dedicated to blue belt and below patterns and the second 3 hours covered red belt to 4th Dan patterns. Following the Saturday pattern seminars, Master Laquerre provided an edicational and truely invaluable 90 minute protocal and etiquette seminar. The 3 hour seminar Sunday morning covered many aspects of sparring for both competitive and non competitive students.
Having Master Pierre Laquerre come to teach in Nova Scotia at Hiltz Taekwon-Do has been a great opportunity for all who attended and to learn from a master with such a wealth of knowledge and experience. All seminars were very much enjoyed by all participants and we look forward to Master Laquerre's next visit.
Thank you Master Laquerre,
David and Jacqui Hiltz

It is with great sadness, that our ITF Scotland Board member, Mr Patrick Timoney 5th Degree (Paddy) collapsed today during his 5th Degree exam and died from a suspected heart attack. A larger than life personality who could bring a smile to anyone, he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts go out to his wife Jacqui who is also a 5th degree, and 3 children at this terrible time.
Paddy was with the Scotland team coaching staff in Sweden 2010, New Zealand 2011 and with his own Glasgow students more recently at the World Cup 2012, and brought his own style of infectious team spirit with him, which on many, many occasions then and now, heightened team moral. He was a kind hearted man with a big smile and the world is now one short of it’s population who could bring laughter and smiles to the faces of others.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
