The 95th International Instructors Course in San Francisco, California, USA completed on July 6th as a huge success. Over 160 participants from around the world including Canada, Japan, Australia, England and Ethiopia enjoyed instruction from Grand Masters Hector Marano and Wim Bos, along with very special guest, ITF President, Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg.
The American Taekwondo Federation International (ATFI) hosted this event and trained in unison with Masters and Black Belts from all other affiliated American organizations NTA, OTFA and the ITF-USA. This year also was fortunate to have Grand Master VanBihn in attendance, President of the ITF-USA.
The US seminar opened this year with an inspirational speech from President Trajtenberg and the ITF's devotion to General Choi's legacy and illustrating the importance of developing its new Kids program that has received huge success led by Master Donato Nardizzi.
Grand Master Marano and Bos stayed true to their superb knowledge and expertise in Taekwondo giving everyone an exciting and fun 3 days of instruction.
GM Marano went to all the details of the ITF techniques trought the patterns and basic movements and G M Bos led the physical dynamic and emphasized the importance of consistency and routine fitness to stay capable of achieving your goals in Taekwon-do
As usual, the Grand Masters knowledge of Taekwondo is unparalleled and their unique personalities are as unique as the stories they tell.
Master Donato Nardizzi VIII taught a short introduction of the new Kids program for ages 3-7 which was very informative in inspirational to all that have young students training in Taekwondo. Many of the junior Black Belts and red belts helped to demonstrate some of the many activities designed to build skills as well as passion for Taekwondo. The program was received with much applause and laughter for all the younger participants.Truly a program all instructors should implement.
The Masters Banquet was set at a lovely restaurant located in the famously historical Ghiradelli Square where chocolate has been made for over 100 years and helped to build San Francisco into a booming port of call.
As this 95th IIC came to a close, we enjoyed the largest attendance of recent past and looked toward the future to next years event hosted by the OTFA group in Las Vegas, Nevada, getting much anticipation from all in attendance.
