Report from the 90th IIC - Chile

On the, 4th 5th and 6th of April the ITF´s 90th IIC was held in Santiago de Chile

This was the first time an IIC took place in Chile, so there was a great expectation before the event was held. The course was a great success, gathering 180 participants and not just only from Chile, the host country, but from the neighbouring countries Argentina, Bolivia and Peru, as well as delegations from Uruguay and Paraguay.

The Grand Masters Hector Marano and Wim Bos, the ITF Technical Committee, developed the essential content of the IIC, with an excellent reception and active participation of the attendees at the course, thus reflecting the interest of Chile and the other countries to continue growing in the practice of Taekwon-Do, under the best standards.

During this IIC, the program "Taekwon-Do Kids" also took place, under the charge of Professor Fabian Izquierdo, an important tool in the training of the instructors who teach children, with emphasis on comprehensive teaching, from motor skills, agilitym balance, co-ordination, basic TKD skills and of course the formation of a solid value system centered around the tenets of ITF Taekwon-Do.

We must note the presence of special guests, Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg, ITF President, privileging with his presence and teachings all participants, and Grand Master Javier Dacak, ITF Vice President, special guest of the Federación Chilena de Taekwon-Do Tradicional, FECHITAT, organising entity of the event.

Those who attended the IIC were very satisfied and grateful with the organization, led by Sabumnim Osvaldo Rojas. Participants in general were very pleased with the management achieved in this successful IIC, opening the possibility to carry out more international level events in Chile.
